These polymer Bean Cellars from Weber Workshops are a real asset for your single-dose workflow—not only in a fancy espresso bar, but also for the passionate home barista. The container is made of BPA-free, durable polymer and features a lid with a one-way valve that allows coffee to degas while preventing anything from entering. As the coffee releases gases, CO₂ and oxygen are pushed out through the valve, helping the coffee stay fresh significantly longer.
The Bean Cellar has a capacity of approximately 18 to 30 grams of roasted coffee, depending on the variety and roast profile.
Many customers ask if light will affect the storage of the beans. The short answer is “no,” as long as they are not stored in direct sunlight. From our experience and tests, as well as to the testament of our customers, the negative effects of opening and closing a vessel and re-exposing them to fresh air is several orders of magnitude more damaging to bean freshness than ambient light in a room.
