HOW TO USE
B3 FLAT filters are packed in a flat stack with pre-folded creases, ready to be folded by the user.
FILTER PREPARATION
Fold the 4 edges of the filter following the indentation marks in the paper. There is no need to maintain the flat-bottom shape exactly, you only need to go over the folds.
Place the filter on top of the dripper and press the central part of the paper downwards.
Rinse the filter, starting from the centre and moving towards the outer edge in a circular motion with hot water. Make sure the full surface of the filter attaches to the walls of the dripper, without leaving air channels between the filter and the dripper.

FLAT B3 Specialty Coffee Filter
The first flat-bottom non-fluted coffee filter design from Sibarist, now available with B3 Specialty Coffee Filter technology. Developed to offer a more balanced and structured extraction, the FLAT B3 combines low bypass brewing with a cup profile that leans toward sweetness, body and texture.
The B3 paper creates a controlled and even flow, slightly calmer than FAST, while still allowing excellent extraction performance. This makes it possible to achieve cups with strong definition and clarity, but with a rounder, fuller and more forgiving character.
Find precision and consistency in extraction. The FLAT B3 gives the barista control and repeatability, while making room for sweeter, more textured and more expressive brews.
Explore new brewing possibilities. The FLAT B3 is highly sensitive to dripper shape and geometry because, once wet, the filter adheres closely to the dripper walls and helps reduce bypass and unnecessary air circulation. This means different drippers can still produce meaningfully different flow behaviours and cup profiles, opening more room to experiment and select the dripper that best suits your target recipe and extraction style.
NO WAVES
The FLAT B3 removes the air gaps typically created by the wave structure of classic flat-bottom filters. These gaps can increase bypass and lead to less even extraction. By reducing air circulation between the filter and the dripper, the FLAT B3 helps create a more controlled brewing environment with more even water distribution through the bed.
The B3 Specialty Coffee paper offers the right balance of permeability and control, delivering a steady flow rate while supporting sweetness, clarity and a fuller mouthfeel in the cup. It also provides a clean brewing experience, free from paper taste.
The flat, wave-free surface also helps prevent coffee particles from getting trapped in the folds, allowing more of the bed to stay in even contact with water. This supports a more complete and regular extraction across all particles, while the simple surface geometry helps create a more uniform turbulence during the brew.
