Milk & Texture Lab is an advanced, skills-focused workshop for baristas who already understand the basics of latte art and want to go deeper. This session moves past chasing patterns and instead focuses on what actually makes latte art consistent, repeatable, and expressive, milk texture, temperature control, and chemistry.
We look closely at milk as an ingredient. How fat, protein, and sugar content affect sweetness, mouthfeel, and structure. Why temperature matters beyond just being hot, and how microfoam quality determines whether a pour works or collapses halfway through. The goal is control, not decoration.
After a short introduction and roastery walk, we break down the theory behind ideal texture and stability. From there, it is pure repetition and refinement. Each participant selects one latte art pattern to focus on throughout the session, allowing full attention on movement, timing, and milk behaviour rather than switching designs constantly.
This is a practice-heavy workshop with a clear intention, improving consistency, refining technique, and building a deeper understanding of milk so latte art becomes a byproduct of good process, not the other way around.
