WORTHY OF A CAMPION
The original modular brewer, the V4 was the brewer of choice for over 20% of competitors in both of the last two World Brewers Cups. It’s also not a coincidence that it was used to brew the highest scoring cups in the 2024 and 2025 World Brewers Cup. It also was the tool of choice for their friend Martin Wölfl – the Austrian Champion and World Brewers Cup champion. Orea is super proud to work together with Martin and to support him through his journey to the world title. This special edition of the V4 is a celebration of Martin’s achievements – a brewer worthy of a world champion.
If you have browsed our shop and website, you would have noticed that Orea adores the Melodrip – the original and best drip assist. The Melodrip helps turn a steady stream of water into tiny perfect droplets, without controlling your flow rate. Orea has released several hacks and bases for our brewers that hold the Melodrip atop the V3 and V4 brewers, even as far back as 3 years ago. When Martin started preparing for his national and world competitions over 2 years ago, they started to help him by designing a more perfect Melodrip holder to optimise his routine.
MELODRIP HOLDER x MARTIN WÖLFL
The Melodrip holder designed together with Martin is unique in that it positions the Melodrip inside the brewer, rather than above it. They tested a lot of variations of this design to find the sweet spot where we lessen agitation but leave enough room for pulse pour recipes to work. After testing alternatives, Orea found this to be by far the best – giving more clarity in the cup and a faster drawdown.
COMPETITION PROVEN
Martin used this exact design in both his Austrian Brewers Cup winning routine and in the World Brewers Cup shortly after, becoming the World Champion. It can’t get better than that – as proof of concept for a great accessory. This holder is compatible with the V3, V3 MK2, V4 Narrow, and Porcelain brewers. The glass brewers are more hand-made in nature and vary, with some units fitting perfectly, others not. The best fit is with the V4 Narrow, with a satisfying click fit for security.
DESIGNED TO HOLD THE MELODRIP FLAT
The holder has a series of teeth that perfectly hook into and hold the Melodrip perfectly flat. This is important for consistency and accuracy. This design has in fact even made it into our new Z1 brewer, which holds the Melodrip in place exactly like this adapter.
WHY WE MADE THIS
Besides the desire to help Martin conquer the brewing world, Orea also wanted to bring out a suitable Melodrip adapter for our brewers. They wanted a certified food safe holder our customers can use, so they can use the best drip assist together with our brewers. They also did not find any tool in the market that satisfied our requirements, with the right positioning of the Melodrip inside of our brewers.

The Melodrip and its position within the brewer create a perfect condition for a calm, clear brew. We love this combination to tame wild, funky coffees or to speed up more stubborn washed coffees.
MADE OF BPA FREE, TRITAN
Injection-moulded into one single piece of a beautiful transparent Tritan. Tritan is our choice of material for the new Z1 and O1 brewers too as it is beautifully optically clear and heat resistant, while being rated for food safety across the world.
