A flow regulator for hybrid and immersion brewing with the Hario Switch.

The #8 is the fastest regulator in the OREA Flow Regulator series, designed to give a quick, clean drawdown after immersion. It adds more structure and control to steep-and-release brewing, while keeping the clarity of a flat-bottom percolation brew.

Made from food-grade silicone and compatible with selected OREA O-Series and open-bottom brewers.

OREA Flow Regulator #8 for Hario Switch

The OREA Flow Regulator #8 is made for hybrid and immersion brewing with the Hario Switch.

It uses the same design logic as the OREA V4 FAST base, with even contact points across the bottom of the brewer and enough space for air and water to move freely. This helps prevent choking, clogging and stalling, while giving the brew a more predictable maximum flow rate.

The #8 is the fastest regulator in the series. This is intentional. With immersion brewing, the coffee and water have already spent time together before the drawdown starts, so the release should be clean and efficient. The #8 helps the brew drain quickly after steeping, while still giving more structure and control than a fully open base.

It is designed to fit into the Hario Switch base and can be used with compatible OREA O-Series and open-bottom brewers. This opens up a different style of flat-bottom brewing: steep, release and control the drawdown with more consistency.

Use it when you want the body and control of immersion, but still want the clarity and finish of a percolation brew.
