VST LAB Coffee III is the latest version of a refractometer – a device which helps achieve optimal taste and repetitiveness in preparing coffee.

When measuring a sample we obtain a precise number of solids dissolved in the prepared coffee (TDS). Having entered the result to the VST app we receive a comparison of oursample with the ideal level of extraction. Thanks to that we know which parameters should we work on in order to obtain the best results. VST Coffee Tools app offers an option of measurement within the scope of 0.0 – 20.0% TDS. The measurement precision has been improved in the latest version: filter coffees: +/- 0.03%, espresso +/- 0.05% and options of averaging several results and stabilising temperature have been introduced. Additionally, backlit display makes it easy to read the result and the place for a sample is easy to maintain thanks to a steel surface and a flap. The device is powered by two AAA batteries, which lasts for over 4000 measurements with backlit turned on.The device is manufactured in the USA.
