El Oasis is the name of a farm that’s located at a high altitude of 2,150 meters above sea level in Ortega-Tolima. They’ve been producing high-quality coffee there for 6 years now.
In 2017, Fernando Bocanegra was encouraged by a good friend to get into coffee. Even though Fernando didn’t have any experience in this field, his friend’s enthusiasm convinced him to leave his job as a chef and start this new adventure. Together, they found a great piece of land with perfect soil and weather conditions for their new coffee project. T
heir goal was to create something unique and different from the traditional coffee productions in the area. They experimented with different seeds and interacted with other producers to learn more. Things were going well until COVID-19 hit. They had three employees who weren’t as involved in the farm as they had hoped.
They thought that their dream of running a successful coffee farm would end there. However, after giving it a lot of thought, they decided to keep going. Fernando’s partner even moved to the farm to take care of things.
This was the start of a new chapter for the farm. They restructured their processes, areas, and personnel. They standardized their processes and aimed to trade their coffee in a new way. Fernando took charge of the commercial and administrative side of things.
Even though he had learned a lot about coffee growing, he was determined to take their coffee to new places and share the story of their hard work, dedication, and love for what they do.

This coffee has amazing complexity, purple juice is the first thing that comes to mind, but also beautiful floral notes.
